Grand Rapids, Mich., May 17, 2022—Grand Rapids based security provider, EPS Security, was awarded Monitoring Center of the Year – Small/Medium Business by The Monitoring Association (TMA) on April 25, 2022. EPS Monitoring Center Lead Operator, Sydney Johnston, also earned TMA’s Operator of the Year title.
The EPS Monitoring Center competed among finalists from Lynn, Massachusetts and Fresno, California, to win Monitoring Center of the Year. This prestigious award recognizes a monitoring center that performs in the highest professional manner, making significant contributions to the alarm industry, and to the communities they serve. Applicants for the award are judged on categories such as training and education, employee recognition, use of technology, false alarm reduction, quality of records, disaster recovery plans, community involvement, and relations with public safety.

Sydney Johnston, TMA’s Operator of the Year, is recognized for her outstanding leadership, customer service, and high-level understanding of the alarm industry. “Sydney’s level of dedication to EPS is without parallel. We are privileged to have her leading our team,” said Widerski.
