Eleven reasons to consider your security systems provider.
1. Stability and Longevity. Unfortunately, security firms are not known for stability and longevity. Not so with EPS. During our 48+ years we have watched more than 100 security companies come and go in West Michigan. This is an amazing and alarming statistic for anyone trying to select a company that will provide service and support for many years. Fortunately, it's a statistic you can quickly forget when you select the company which has clearly earned the long-term trust and confidence of its customers.
2. Breadth of Experience. Whether you are considering a centrally- monitored, single site security system or a multi-site, user-owned and monitored system, EPS offers the knowledge, resources, certifications, and experience to design, build, and install any function you may require.

3. Depth of Experience. Within our base of 14,000 customers are industrial, commercial, service, and retail businesses, medical, educational, and government facilities, and residences of every description. You can be sure we bring very relevant experience to your situation, no matter what it might entail. You can also count on qualified personnel to meet your needs. EPS employs more than 120 qualified individuals, many with more than 25 years experience in the security field. All our installation personnel have earned appropriate industry certifications.
4. State-of-the-art local central station monitoring. EPS built the first and to this day the only UL listed, Factory Mutual-approved central monitoring station in Western Michigan. Located in our corporate complex on Front Street in Grand Rapids, you are always only a phone call away. Today, our central station is also approved by I.R.I. and I.S.O. and we are among the less than 1% of central stations in the country that can provide you with an Extent 1 (formally Grade AA) U.L. certificate for burglar alarm systems. Finally, consider that we maintain an identical stand-by computer system, an emergency power generation station...as a backup. This gives you the assurance of top level service, without any interruptions or delays, as well as maximum insurance savings.
5. Relationships with the industry's top equipment manufacturers. A key advantage of selecting a large, independent company like EPS is our ability to freely select from all the best products on the market. Our independence and solid supplier relationships mean we can always take the most cost-effective approach...which often involves a marriage of components from different sources.
6. A fully-staffed and experienced design staff. Our independence also assures you that your system is truly optimized for your situation. You receive a detailed proposal that clearly explains your system, how it works, how you interface with it, and what it costs. Bear in mind that even the large, national companies cannot match our engineering depth on a local level. While our system designer is just down the street, theirs may be several states away.
7. Local fabrication capability. Also consider that when special interfaces, system test panels, or system graphics are required, they are manufactured at our local facility under the supervision of the engineers who designed them. This is particularly important with large, multi-function systems because it allows us to choose just the right components for the job and integrate them into a system with maximum performance and economy.
8. Unmatched service resources available 24-hours per day. We employ more service personnel (over 50) than any area company and operate the area's largest fleet of over 40 radio-dispatched alarm service vehicles. Service technicians and central station operators are on duty 24-hours a day, all year long.
9. Always at a very competitive price. We're sure you recognize that we could not have become West Michigan's largest security firm without competitive pricing. But we should also point out that, due to our independence and local focus, we often find our quotations well below those without these advantages.
10. An unmatched track record that's growing daily. Our strongest case for winning your business is our customer family. We serve dozens of people with your same needs, and have for decades. We feel it's also important to mention that our company continues to grow steadily each year. Given the normal short life of most security firms, we think our continued success is an important indication of our ability to successfully serve you.
11. The special advantage of working with a local company. Although difficult to quantify, we firmly believe that one of our greatest strengths is that we are locally owned and managed. The people who serve you are members of your community, are active in civic affairs, and care deeply about the West Michigan community. Our 120+ employees are spread throughout the area, and are proud of their community and our company. As a result, we believe they always go a step or two further to assure your total satisfaction.
